twitter was afloat, happy chats everyone had
who's doesn't have their face online these days?
turned down the volume, switched off the windows
it was a long day, only some quiet i wanted
they were all avenues, but it just didn't feel right
so i turned off things one by one
till all the brightness was gone
can i talk to you Lord
and let me hear, those stories you tell me
i got reminded, that i talked too much
and never sat down long enough to listen
i'm kind of lost, no one's a hearing.
but some don't get it, its more than just companionship
something's missing, and its hurting inside now
emotions? weakness? those i do not succumb
have i forgotten to stop, and really listen...
